Make the most of 2025 by challenging yourself to a weekly “First Time for Everything” activity. It can be something fun, or instructive, or inspiring, and definitely rewarding. Do it solo, as a couple, family, or group of friends. One thing we encourage is to plug into that activities list you develop, a skinny-dip, a trip to a sanctioned nude beach, and a Nakation℠ vacation visit to a clothing-optional or clothes-free nudist resort/RV park/campground affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation (aanr.com).
Don’t have a lot of vacation time? Plan a “hush trip” Nakation vacation. Hush trips are seen as a fairly new travel trend where a remote worker takes a trip that overlaps with working hours and doesn’t inform their employer where they are working from.
Guess what Gen X thru Z? “Hush trips” have been enjoyed by Boomers and Seniors in the U.S. since the late 1920s, when folks began taking Nakations at clothing optional resorts/campgrounds. These were very low profile “hush trips,” as naturists were (and to a certain extent, still are today) concerned for employers’ discrimination as regards to respectability and acceptability of their clothes less recreation and relaxation culture.
Take it from AANR, which for 94 years has been the preeminent authority in North America protecting the freedoms and rights of those who participate in wholesome nude recreation, a Nakation will benefit you immensely. AANR’s membership demonstrate categorically that life is enhanced by the naturalness of social nudity. From exercise to relaxation, a person’s physical, spiritual, and mental well-being is enriched through nude recreation and slumber. It’s nothing sexual, but rather a choice to be closer to nature, capture an all-over tan, and as an added benefit live simply and healthier.
Did you know there are many important benefits associated with donning one’s birthday suit during leisure time? Body acceptance is one, as when shedding one’s clothing we also remove the metaphorical masks we wear, enabling us to drop society driven defenses. Fun in the sun in the altogether also benefits one’s skin with full vitamin D exposure, which is important to maintaining a healthy immune system. Nudity and its vitamin D extracted wellness benefits also include mood improvement, better sleep, fewer states of depression in some, and reduced anxiety.
So travelers, take the challenge and include a visit to an AANR resort/club/campground. To find a location near or far from home visit: aanr.com/club-locator.
I think I was a nudist before I was born. When I was first married, my wife and I visited and vacationed at nudists parks. She returned to those who prefer clothes and my time at nudists parks has ended. She agrees with the World, if I am going to be naked; I best be alone. I have a place in the woods where I can be naked and alone. I have come to appreciate the relationship of brother and sister, where sexual abstinence is the basic relationship between people. Honestly, as brothers and sisters we don’t need clothes. We mature to know not to judge a book by its cover. The body grows old but kindness never grows old. The good people give us smiles and take away our frowns. As it’s good for him to promote brotherhood she should promote her sisterhood. On your next visit to a nudist park, set a table and work on a 1000 piece puzzle. Others will join you. Set up a few chairs and have cold drinks and read a book and others may join you. Simply toss a ball up into the air, others will join you. To have a friend, be a friend. Enjoy life.
It was very refreshing to read about “hush trips,” as I have been doing that for a good portion of my nearly 30-year career. I am a Gen-Xer and have worked remotely almost a third of my career. When I am not working from home, I travel for business throughout the U.S. When planning a business trip during the warm season, I make it a point to go on the AANR club locator to find the nearest nude resort to my location of business. I will then book my travel, allowing for either the weekend prior or after my work to allow me a day/two at the AANR resort. It has worked out great for me and I have no intention of stopping:) Thank you!
I’m 67 years old and 50 years as a nudist. I knew along time ago that our body wasn’t something to be ashamed of. I live as a nudist , and proudly support any like minded folks.
I enjoy your work!
Thx.
