Help Clean Up The Beach The Cape Cod Beach Volunteers, an assembly of national and local clubs dedicated to restoring the traditional clothing-optional areas of the Cape, will once again host the annual Cape Cod Beach Clean-up on June 13, 2009, beginning at 9 a.m. with registration in the main parking lot of Herring Cove Beach. Over the past 12 years, more than 500 volunteers from all over New England have participated in the cleanup to make beaches in the Cape Cod National Seashore cleaner and safer for its many visitors and to maintain a positive rapport with the National Park Service Rangers. The event has been recognized and honored by the U.S. Department of the Interior as part of their “Take Pride in America” program. For details, call 423-583-6833.
