Author Defends Naked Parties on FOX News

A recent edition of conservative FOX news program "The O'Reilly Factor" featured a discussion with Alexandra Robbins, a Yale University graduate and author of the book The Overachievers, the Secret Lives of Driven Kids. The segment, titled "Are Naked Parties For Real?" began with O'Reilly questioning Robbins about The Pundits, who organize nude house parties off campus.

Robbins described the naked parties as consisting of people "listening to music, dancing, playing poker or pool, talking, mingling. They just don't happen to have any clothes on." Although O'Reilly tried to link the parties to escalating sexual assaults on campus, Robbins quickly dispelled the notion, saying that sexual assault happens across the country whether or not there are naked parties. She went further, saying that the incidence of sexual assault on campus is probably less likely at naked parties than other venues.

Robbins went on to say that naked parties are a way for students, who are "more stressed and pressured to succeed than any generation in the past," to let off some steam, and that if there is no criminal behavior involved, people should be free to do what they want. Streaker's Charges Reduced

The man accused of streaking through a Demolition Derby at a county fair last summer will be arrained on reduced charges, reports the Jackson Hole News & Guide. Despite the tradition of streaking at the annual event, Seamus McKinney was charged with a felony and three misdemeanors related to streaking and ramming into the deputy that got in his path. McKinney now faces misdemeanor charges for child endangering, comitting an obscene act in a child's presence, resisiting arrest and others. All charges carry the maximum penalty of one year in jail or $1,000 fine. Another streaker was arrested and charged with child endangering but the charge has been dropped without predjudice, meaning it can be reinstated at any time.

Streaking has been a common occurrence at the derby. But two years ago, authorities decided to crack down, and a streaker that year was subdued by an officer's Taser. This past summer, more officers than ever policed the event, and the deputies' actions were condemned by most residents of the community.Read more at Streaker.

Naked Trucker Debuts on Comedy Central

The New York Times calls it "like 'Hee Haw,' only nakeder." We are referring to Comedy Central's "The Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show." Further proof that non-gratuitous nudity has entered the mainstream, the Naked Trucker, played by Dave (Gruber) Allen, is portrayed as a regular guy who feels that to "truly be free, you got to take off your duds" and whose motto is "He's not a slave to the textile industry."

Allen and David Koechner (T-Bones) first started performing together as these characters a decade ago in Hollywood. Onstage, they spun improvised tales about their long-haul adventures. While the show may seem blue collar at first glance, Comedy Central's executive vice president, Lauren Corrao, calls the show "smart social satire" that will appeal to the blue collar crowd as well as those who watch "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report." The show will also feature a weekly "Hitchhiker of the Week" segment featuring such guest stars as Will Ferrell. Read more at Naked Trucker.

Nude Skier Honors Bet

An Austrian skier lost a bet with his physiotherapist and skied nude down the Lauberhorn, reports CNN. Rainer Schoenfelder hurt his neck and back in a crash a week earlier and vowed to ski naked if his pain lessened after treatment. In great pain since his crash one day before the World Cup races, Schoenfelder's physiotherapist performed a different treatment which left the skier feeling no discomfort for the first time since his accident. Wearing only yellow boots, an orange helmet and gloves, Schoenfelder honored his promise and skied pain-free--and nude--down the Lauberhorn.
