Ilsley Visits Sequoians Members of The Sequoians, A Clothes-Free Club, located in California, are married, single, young, old, with and without children. The group practices social nude recreation in a family-oriented environment. Members respect and appreciate each other's diversity. Favorite activities include volleyball, barbecues, potlucks, dances, hiking, holiday parties, and simply relaxing. The Sequoians is a rustic, family-oriented nudist club located nine miles northeast of Castro Valley, California. The grounds are heavily wooded with oaks, madrones, bay laurels, and redwoods. The club is located in a quiet and sheltered box canyon--the perfect place to enjoy nude recreation in an unspoiled natural setting. The Ilsley is a traveling trophy commissioned to commemorate AANR's 75th Anniversary as the credible voice of reason for nude recreation in North America. Ilsley is traveling to nearly 40 AANR clubs and resorts across the U.S. and Canada. Throughout his tour, special themed events and celebrations are planned at host clubs along the way. The award is named for the late Rev. Ilsley Boone, the founder and first Executive Director of AANR's predecessor, the American Sunbathing Association. Boone is perhaps best remembered as the flamboyant clergyman who served as plaintiff in the 1958 case of Sunshine and Health v. Summerfield. That case went all the way to the United States Supreme Court and established, once and for all, First Amendment protection for nudist publications. Ilsley ends his tour in August 2006 at the Association's 75th Anniversary Convention at Deanza Springs Resort outside San Diego, California. You can track Ilsley's weekly progress on his year-long tour right here on the AANR website.
Home Workers Get Naked A growing trend among businesses is the option for employees to work from home. A survey conducted by SonicWALL, Inc., a provider of network security, indicated that 76 percent of employees surveyed believed that working remotely enhanced productivity. The majority of respondents also felt their managers would agree. All respondents felt that a benefit of working from home was that it allowed them to work in a more relaxed environment and maintain a more flexible schedule. So it comes as no surprise that some workers wear nothing at all. Out of 941 workers surveyed, twelve percent of males and seven percent of females reveal that they work in the nude. Naked Juice For Heart Health Just in time for Heart Health Month in February, Naked Juice introduced two new juices to their antioxidant line that can help consumers maintain a heart-healthy diet. The popular juice company was founded in 1983. They decided to call their new company "Naked Juice" because their products are all natural, contain 100 percent juice and have no preservatives or artificial ingredients. A major ingredient in the new juices is the acai berry which contains a blend of amino acids and essential omegas. Each bottle of Naked Juice packs a pound of of all-natural fruit into each 15 ounce bottle, which is the equivalent of two servings of fruit. The Naked Juice line of premium juices is available in grocery and natural food stores throughout the United States. Football Star Nude in New Film Actress Kathy Bates and former Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw, appearing together in the new film Failure to Launch, have more in common than one might think. Both have received honors in their respective careers and now they have something else in common--both stars have appeared naked onscreen. Bates nude screen appearance was considered a boon to middle-aged women everywhere when she appeared nude in the hot tub in the 2002 hit About Schmidt, also starring Jack Nicholson. Failure to Launch marks Bradshaw's first film as an actor and he spends a scene entirely in the nude. Bradshaw said he wanted to do the scene because it would come as a surprise to everyone who knew him solely through his football career. He even told his preacher about the scene, who Bradshaw says did not quite know what to say because Bradshaw is a major contributor to his church. Failure to Launch opened last weekend and is now in theaters everywhere. |
