Nude Recreation Week Recap Nude Recreation Week started as a one-day event in the 1970s and has expanded to a week-long celebration of body acceptance and nude recreation. Click here Nakation Featured on Today Show One of the highlights of Nude Recreation Week has to be AANR’s Nakation In A Box prominently featured on NBC’s Today show. Hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb showed the contents of the box including the 23rd edition of the North American Guide to Nude Recreation, AANR's List of Clubs and the blue I’m On Nakation towel while discussing their experiences and views of nude travel. The discussion of nude recreation was positive and upbeat. The video of the segment is over 12 minutes long, but you can catch the Nakation clip at about the 4:50 mark. 
Sky Farm Hosts Charity Event Sky Farm, located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and one of the country's oldest nudist resorts, held an open house to raise money and awareness for the Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer. Sky Farm and its members sponsored a local woman as she continues her quest to participate in all nine Avon Walk for Breast Cancer cities. Since her diagnosis nearly 13 years ago, she has been raising money and awareness by telling her story and has helped many people through their diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Read more Cypress Cove Hosts Chamber Open House Cypress Cove Nudist Resort & Spa in Kissimmee, Florida, received plenty of press for their Kissimmee-Osceola County Chamber of Commerce open house during Nude Recreation Week. The Cove, as it is fondly known to members, visitors and locals, has been hosting the event for almost 20 years. The resort has maintained a presence in the business community for 44 years and there is little controversy about Chamber events hosted at the 300-acre resort. Nudists are considered big business in Osceola County, where Cypress Cove has about 3,000 members. Read more Cool Car Show, Naked Facts and More White Tail Resort in Ivor, Virginia, celebrated Nude Recreation Week with an open house and car show that received quite a few media hits. Members and visitors displayed their antique, custom or special interest vehicles at the Cool Car Show. Read more The Oklahoman included an informative interview with co-owners of Oaklake Trails titled “Lifestyle choice exposes naked facts.” Read more Southern California Naturist Association got additional media coverage following a previous article in Ventura, California, newspapers. In “Get Naked, Be Happy” the reporter recounts that she actually got nude while preparing for her story and that, after a few minutes, she was not the least bit self-conscious.
